Hinkemann is getting stronger again … uff!
The one wing is still hanging down a bit. But he is managing to stand upright again!!!!
We are soooo happy and proud!
This is just a very quick snap because he gets anxious as soon as my human picks up a cell phone or camera (see, in the pic he is ducking, alarmed, ready to escape.) Basically, he gets anxious as soon as my human holds anything in her hands … I wonder what he went through to become this fearful of humans …
Our window is always open, but he has not taken us up on it, even though there were angry winds and he was still very frail, trying to hold on to the branches of the tree. Never far from our window.
We cannot but offer shelter. But I guess that it is difficult to find trust if you are a mobbing victim.
Poor little guy.
Do you see his damaged feathers?
The white spots where feathers are missing and broken off?
Do they regrow?????????
